Unravelling the Crystallization Process in Solution-Derived YBa<sub>2</sub>Cu<sub>3</sub>O<sub>7-δ</sub> Nanocomposite Films with Preformed ZrO<sub>2</sub> Nanocrystals via Definitive Screening Design

A low-cost chemical solution deposition technique was employed to prepare YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO) nanocomposite films starting from a colloidal containing preformed ZrO2 nanocrystals. As previous publications revealed, an increase in the amount of nanocrystals results progressive deterioration film properties. The parameters that control this process and their interplay are still unknown detail. Using definitive screening design (DSD), design-of-experiments approach, allowed determining which multiple growth play key role for improving superconducting properties YBCO even with large concentration In order show potential DSD, it has been applied optimization two different properties: critical temperature T-c full width at half-maximum (005) reflection. This work shows DSD is powerful efficient method allows optimizing certain processes minimal number experiments.
